Safari Parks in East England

UK safari parks have seen a sharp increase in popularity over the past few years, and the east of England has not been left behind. In fact the highest number of parks and reserves in the UK is currently present in the east of England.

There are currently 8 parks in East England: Mole Hall Wildlife Park, Paradise Wildlife Park, Norfolk Wildlife Centre, Shepreth Wildlife Park, Thrigby Hall Wildlife Garden, Suffolk Wildlife Park, Whipsnade Wild Animal Park and the Woburn Safari Park.

There has been an increasing rise in competition amongst UK safari parks and to cope with this the parks in east England have all tried to create a sense of individuality, with the different parks catering to different consumer needs and each having their own unique selling points.

For example Mole Hall Park also has a Butterfly Pavilion, a garden maze and allows visitors to feed the deer, while parks like Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens has special attractions such as the Tiger Tree Walk, where visitors can get thrillingly close to the park’s tigers. The Woburn Safari Park even has safari rides and allows visitors to become a ranger for a day. Also the different parks look to promote different animals and this gives visitors a fresh experience whenever they visit different parks.

Most of the UK safari parks also tend to offer educational programs, which help spread awareness regarding endangered animals and protecting the environment. This way kids can also get involved and inspired to take part in environmental activities.

East England is one of the leaders among UK safari parks, having some of the most original and numerous parks in the regions. The parks also attract a majority of the visitors in the area and are leading the way in promoting UK safari parks.
