UK safari parks have sprouted up in almost every corner of the region, Scotland, various regions of England, and even Wales have all created Wildlife Sanctuaries and parks in an attempt to give tourists a new reason to visit Queen’s homeland. Well maintained and diverse in their nature, UK safari parks have grown in their popularity over the past decade or so, and this can be seen with the impressive rise in the number of parks that have been started.

Currently there are over 30 UK safari parks open. Some parks are general Wildlife reserves and offer tourists the option to witness a wide variety of animals and birds. Other parks, such as Birdworld in Farnham, Surrey choose to narrow down the variety of animals they offer. Naturally this also allows them to have a greater variety of that specific animal kingdom.

Many of the parks put on shows and try to promote environmental factors through the use of educational tours and presentations. This keeps the kids entertained while also informing them about the state of the environment and what they can do to help out. Some parks offer the more traditional safari rides, taking visitors in open jeep rides through the wilderness. While some of the animals might not exactly be native to the English countryside, the charm of taking a safari ride through bumpy dust roads with a pair of binoculars is still very much there.
